Closed Eyes Versus Opened Ones

Where there is darkness there is light.

Where there is light there is darkness.

Where there is sunrise there is sunset.

Where there is midnight there is midday.

There is balance in everything.

Where there are closed eyes there are opened ones, and where there are the opened ones there are closed eyes.

When I go to sleep at night, there is life still going on somewhere else. While I’m awake, busying myself with daily activities, there is someone else dreaming peacefully. Dark and light, sunrise and sunset, midnight and midday, closed eyes and opened eyes: balance is everywhere.

While you are seeing the world through one lens, another is looking through a different one. While one cloud may remind you of your best days, it may remind another of their worst.

When you take your first step onto an unknown path in your life, another has already stepped there and seen what you have yet to conquer. I guess that’s why everyone always says that nothing is impossible, because what you think is impossible someone else has already found it possible.

I’ve been encouraged to write this today actually by music. I have a classical channel on Pandora I listen to every now and then because the music is very inspirational to me. I will have some of the songs that make me look at life differently attached to this post. Feel free to listen and maybe learn something new about yourself or life along the way.

Always,

Jinapher J. Hoffman
